Somebody sent mail to my house for someone who doesn’t live here. So I searched for the person to whom the letter was addressed on google. Luckily, they live down the street, and APPARENTLY they work high up at DTLR… I’m bout to slide my resume and his letter under his door right quick.

Pharrell.

I keep reading comments that “She Came To Give It to You” sounds like “Blurred Lines” “rhythm wise”, and the song itself was was produced by the almighty Pharrell so I don’t see why it wouldn’t sound similar . However, personally, I don’t hear it except for Pharrell’s distinct and frequent chirps, but come on, it’s Pharrell! If you have ever watched/listened to a video of songs produced by the Neptunes, a group comprised of producers Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, you’ll notice that from 1999 to 2003 almost all of their songs have certain kits, synthesizers, or chirps that sound alike. “Please Don’t Mind”(2001) by Philly’s Most Wanted, “I’m a Slave 4 U”(2001) by Britney Spears, “U Don’t Have to Call” by Usher (2001) were all released the same year and were produced by the Neptunes, and it can be heard that they all have remarkable similarities, specifically the synthesizers. In closing if top 100 music sounds the same nowadays it’s because producers Pharrell and DJ mustard, who has been sweeping the charts since late 2013, are absolutely controlling the billboards with their inspired production. Don’t hate cause they’re great.

If you’d like to hear a compilation of some of the Neptunes greatest songs produced here is a link to the YouTube video http://youtu.be/3MjQyTVjWOE
